New Blog

I haven't had much response for the "educational" part of this blog, but I've decided to split this off into a new one, Independent Learning. What will remain for me to put include on this one remains to be seen.

Comments:
Howdy! I've been keeping up with your blog rather sporadically, and I really like some of the things you mentioned in your January and February posts. I liked your observation on you need to find a way to make your knowledge base "practical." Although I never did mention it to you, I was concerned that your knowledge base wasn't very "practical" at all, but since you have been able identify some practicality to it, I say congratulations! :-) (not that you need my congratulations ;-) ).

Also, I am intrigued by your idea of writing some science fiction. I was dating a girl who said you reminded her of Thoreau, and I have really been impressed with the quality of the writing on your blog. Your ideas have been presented thoughtfully and coherently, and while I am personally almost always bored stiff by almost any sort of dry, technical presentation where I must listen or read instead of more actively participating, and thusly I tend to skip over the more technical vs. human commentaries in your blogs, I have really liked your writing style, so if you choose to write a science fiction novel, I would be excited to read it. :-)

In fact, if you like, I would even be willing to attempt to give some constructive feedback or suggestions, and I might even be able to provide some limited grammar and editing help.

I hope things are going well and that you continue to make progress toward your goals. I'm sorry that things haven't been exactly peaceful or harmonious between you and the rest of the family, but I'm glad you feel like you are finally making a place for yourself where you are right now. Good luck, and I look forward to hearing back from you.

Btw, my email has changed to hlc2@byu.net; my .email address will still work until the end of the semester, though.
